MD110 Convergence platform and MX-One

The architecture of the MD110 was always designed to be '' future proof '. Achieved through provision of a migration platform forward, without, having to discard your investment and starting again.

From 1983 to today the  MD110 (now known as MX-ONE TSW or MX-ONE Server) family of platforms have been providing the highest levels of reliability and functionality to the enterprise. Aastra recognise the strength of this platform and have fully supported to the concept going forward. Environmentally and financially it makes sense to use the asset without having to throw it away and start again.

The idea of upgrading, rather than replacing, has always been a difficult one to come to terms with for many coming from the IT industry. If you can invest in a platform that grows and evolves with your business needs then why would anyone wish to replace it? The biggest perceived need for change has been driven by 'IP Telephony' requirements, MD110 has had IP capability for more than 3 years and today with its MX-One platform it can offer any flavour of IP. MX-ONE TSW is a hybrid that has a TDM core and IP as an add on (supports H232 end points IP trunking etc). Alternatively you can upgrade to a TSE which is a IP softswitch core and a TDM add-on.

• Compact Classic new cabinet option launched with MX-One V3.2 .The Compact Classic System, CCS, is a standard MX-ONE Media Gateway Classic System packaged as a one LIM stand alone system.
  It contains one or two subracks, an optional MX-ONE Server for applications, power, cabinet, and in the one subrack alternative, there is also room for batteries.
  The power supply and the cabinet are new, specially designed for the small one LIM system.
  The main objectives with the CCS is to offer a small, cost efficient, attractive looking system, for the small office where the PBX is primarily placed in a visible spot.
