Phase out for Solidus 5 announced. Add-on sales for Solidus 5 until end of March 09.

Solidus 7 planned toward the end of 2009. Version 7 is outlined in the presentation on applications April 09.

Aastra indicated they are more flexible than the old Ericsson organisation on licensing. Solidus having changed from 4.1 through 5 and now 6 in the space of 12 months was causing some real headaches in terms of having to upgrade to add licenses (that is after as little as 12 months).

If you are in that position and feel strongly you do not want to be forced to upgrade then argue your point and insist additional licenses are made available. You have nothing to lose!

None reported through the user group. Version 6 has been implemented for some time.

We recommend you always ensure you have the latest service packs implemented with any upgrade (that includes for Solidus and the MX-ONE).

It is important to ensure that you understand the 'active' lifecycle for the software version you are purchasing. According to Aastra, they will take a much more flexible approach than Ericsson with regard to adding licenses. If anyone is having problems with ordering additional licenses advise us.
